# Setting up stream notifications for media mentions

Notifications for streams are configured as a personal setting. Each recipient can manage their own media notifications by going to **Settings \> Personal \> Media notifications**, then editing the notification and selecting the desired stream from the **Streams** drop-down menu.

## How do I configure stream notifications?

You can update a stream notification through your personal settings:

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Select **Personal**.
3. Go to **Media notifications**.
4. Click **Edit** on the configured notification.
5. In the **Streams** field, choose the search you want to follow from the drop-down menu.

## Can notifications be set up for individual recipients?

Yes. Stream notification setup is a personal setting, so each recipient can configure it themselves. If needed, notification email addresses can also be sent for assistance with setup.

## What happens after the notification is updated?

After the stream is selected and the notification is saved, the recipient will receive emails for the chosen mention stream.
